Soft, easy, and replete with textural detail, our waistcoat is a perfect layering addition to reach for as winter approaches.

Our reversible waistcoat combines a substantial padded jacquard cotton with finely woven linen in a double-layered silhouette. An on-the-hip hemline ensures you’ll be cosy as the temperature cool, and deep, roomy pockets offer warmth for cold hands, as well as an opportunity to stow found treasures.

Take a closer look and you’ll notice the utility-influenced details that set our waistcoat apart. Feminine self-fabric ribbon ties elevate whilst retaining their function, and a steeply graduated neckline keeps you warm whilst leaving room to layer. Made to layer with generous armholes, it’ll fit under or over comfortably without compromising your outfit. Design functions like reversibility help to reduce excess without sacrificing style or comfort; both sides are gorgeously soft and cosy, creating a blanket-like feel to keep the chill off.

Just as linen allows heat to evaporate in hot weather, it also helps your body retain heat when the outside temperature drops. Naturally grown, it insulates and regulates your temperature without stifling your body as a synthetic fabric might, allowing you to layer up whilst still feeling comfortable.

Colourway:

In vivid shades of raspberry and wine, teal, and indigo, our Plum wine check colourway exists as a point of richness and life amongst the cold of the outdoors. It serves to comfort generously through the sparseness of winter, evoking the warmth of flushed cheeks whilst surrounded by bitter cold. A large, tonal check compliments a deep ink lining, with a sashiko stitch running through the weave for extra structure and thickness.

Care Hand or machine wash on gentle setting using cold water. Do not tumble dry. Steam press on medium setting for a crisp finish, or hang dry and wear gently wrinkled for a lived-in look.

Manufacture
This garment will be carefully individually cut and sewn in small batches in our Oakham, Rutland design studio (England).
